The Cheddar Gorge Cheese Co

The Cheddar Gorge Cheese Company, makes the only real Cheddar-made Cheese in the world. Now you can visit the Factory and follow the fascinating traditional cheese making process from rich, unpasteurised local milk to muslin-wrapped and rinded 56lb round truckles. You'll see and sample the delicious results of 5 to 9 month of maturing.
The Cheese makers give regular explanations (usually half hourly) of the whole 7 hour process, and they are always delighted to answer questions. There is also a short video.
